Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will be seen in action mode in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The duo have been busy with the movie’s promotions, which is all set to release next week. From making funny reels to appearing at Vishal Mishra’s concert in Mumbai to perform for the live audience, the cast is leaving no stone unturned to build the excitement.
Recently, Akshay and Tiger appeared on The Beer Biceps Show. The host talked to them about meme culture and how their particular scenes and stills from past movies have become iconic meme templates. Akshay also revealed how, while shooting, the crew would guess which scene might become a meme.

During the interaction, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan star Akshay Kumar asked the host how or why the memes were made. The host told him that people get offended by comedy in general. Hence, the number of comedy movies being made is lower because of the need for comedy (memes are made).
Akshay Kumar took a sly dig at woke culture and how it affects comedy. Akshay responds, “Tumhe lagta hai ki comedy jo hai yeh kam kyu hote jaa rahi. Itna log woke culture kyu leke aaye hai apne yaha (Do you know why comedy is decreasing? Why have so many people brought woke culture here?).” The host tells the actor that the woke culture is ending soon and comedy will return.

Akshay reacts, “Lekin abhi aa jayega, yeh saal, agle saal tak. Kaafi comedy filmein aa jayengi. 2-3 toh main hi kar raha hoon. Main kar raha hoon, Welcome kar raha hoon, Housefull kar raha hoon, phir shayad Hera Pheri bhi karunga (But it will come now, this year, by next year. Quite a few comedy films will come. 2-3 I am doing myself. I’m doing Welcome to the Jungle, Housefull 5 and might do Hera Pheri 3 too).” The actor hinted that he might be doing Hera Pheri 3, which will make the franchise’s fans quite happy!
“Maza aata hai comedy mein. Bada hi ajeeb lagta hai jab log bade strict ho jaate hai. ‘Yeh Kya Hai? Uska mazak uda rahe ho, iska mazak uda rahe ho’. Arre mazak nahi hai (It’s fun in comedy. It feels really strange when people become very strict. ‘What is this? Making fun of him, making fun of her). I’m just doing a part; I’m just playing a character,” adds Akshay Kumar.

Meanwhile, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also stars Alaya F, Manushi Chhillar and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film will hit the theatres on April 10, 2024. It will clash with Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan.
