Actress Mamta Kulkarni had disappeared the Bollywood scene for quite long now. Last seen in 2002 film, Kabhie Tum Kabhie Hum, the actress then quit the film industry. In a shocking incident, Mamta Kulkarni and her husband Vicky Goswami were arrested in Kenya in a joint operation carried out by Drug Enforcement Agency of the US.
Vicky, who has been a drug trafficker was held with 98 kg of heroin. The operation was led after a huge rate of smuggling between Kenya to US was observed. The Mumbai police has been co-ordinating on this case and details of Mamta’s direct involvement into the case is yet to be unearthed.
Mamta’s husband was earlier too held by Dubai police in 1997 and sentenced for 25 years imprisonment although he was later paroled on grounds of model conduct.
