Shooting of a regular size reasonably budgeted Hindi film gets over in 50 days. However, Sidharth Malhotra’s 2020 release Shershaah is being designed as nothing less than an epic. Just its Kargil schedule has been on for 50 days already and the film is still being shot. Based on the life of Kargil hero Capt. Vikram Batra, the Karan Johar production has been set on a truly grand scale with full blown action sequences being shot in Kargil.

“The film is turning out to be as big as it gets,” informs our source, “No one has even shot in Kargil before and here there are these big action sequences being filmed in a non-stop fashion. A 50 day long outdoor shoot is no joke, there are so many logistics involved. You also have to consider the weather conditions.”

Nonetheless, the crew set by Dharma Productions was well set to conquer all challenges and that has allowed director Vishnuvardhan to keep the pace on for the mega film that is being shot in quite a few virgin locations.

On being contacted, this is what Sidharth had to say, “This film is special. I have always been fascinated by armed forces and to be living and breathing that character is, even if this may sound a bit clichéd, a dream come true. To be shooting in Kargil is also so special. I have been here for over 50 days and it is remarkable indeed for the entire team to create the whole war sequence. I have loved every bit of the film’s shoot so far.”
