Join UsThe third instalment of Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi starrer Munna Bhai has been making a lot of noise, but nothing yet seems concrete. Although, the makers have previously confessed that Munna Bhai 3 is indeed on the cards but fans have now been waiting for an official announcement since forever now.
Recently, Arshad Warsi too revealed that the movie might happen, and the scripting is in the process but nothing’s confirmed yet. While the makers also come up with the same answer every time they are questioned about it, recent reports now suggest that there’s a further delay that might be taking place.
A source close to Deccan Chronicle reveals it all as, “The script of the third part of the film had some issues in the first half and one problem in the second half. The creative team has been working hard to solve that issue, but that has not been done because of a connecting problem. Rajkumar Hirani has been busy getting around four more scripts ready. With him being busy in the script development of the other films, he has not been able to devote time to get this in order.”

Furthermore, regarding a teaser that was released by Vidhu Vinod Chopra for the third franchise titled Munnabhai Chale America, the source reveals, “But the script went for a toss, and Munnabhai went to jail. It is 16 years since the first part came out, and Sanjay Dutt, who was around 43 when he was shooting for Munnabhai MBBS, is now 60-years-old. The new script also has to go with his age because people are not ready to accept a big jump in the age at the moment.”
While the original also starred Vidya Balan in a pivotal role, nothing is yet confirmed about Munna Bhai 3. One can only hope for the air to clear and an announcement to be made soon.
