Akshay Kumar will be finally essaying the role of a lawyer, something which he had been looking forward to since long. After much speculations, the Housefull 3 star has confirmed that he will be a part of Jolly LLB 2.

The film’s first installment starred Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani and Saurabh Shukla in key roles. For the second installment, director Subhash Kapoor has now altered the cast completely. While Akshay will be the male lead, actress Huma Qureshi will be starring as the female lead in the film. This is the first time, the two will be working together.

There have been talks that Boman Irani will now be replaced by Paresh Rawal in this film.

The courtroom comedy drama is all set to kickstart in August and will be first shot in Lucknow. The sequel will release in 2017.
