Shraddha Hopes ‘Dance Basanti’ Will Open New Avenues For Her

Shraddha Kapoor, who has played safe and simple this far in her career choices, is breaking out of the mould as she scorches the screen in Ungli‘s Dance Basanti alongside Emraan Hashmi.

Says Shraddha Kapoor, “This is something I had never done before — show my dancing skills. It also gave me the opportunity to look glamorous. In my last two films, my looks were really simple. This was a nice change and I enjoyed every bit of it.”

The song which recently went viral is already fast becoming a favorite on the music charts, not to mention, a favourite at clubs.

“Katrina, Kareena and many other actresses have done item songs in the past. They all have done a fabulous job. I am glad that I got the opportunity as well. I have given the song my best and I hope people like me and my performance. This song might generate new avenues for me,” adds Shraddha.

Dharma Productions’ Ungli directed by Rensil D’Silva starring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut & Sanjay Dutt is slated to release November 28th. The film also stars Randeep Hooda, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi and Neil Bhoopalam.
