Boss has put up quite a dull show in overseas box office market. The film that saw a heavy 5 day weekend at the box office, earned in the higher range at key circuits in the global markets.
The Akshay Kumar fan following worked well, but the star’s prowess in the overseas is limited. In U.K and Ireland, the film in 63 screens earned 2.34 crores.
In U.S.A and Canada, the film earned in the range of 1.15 crores.
However, Boss cashed in well in the G.C.C circuit by virtue of the Eid break in the region. From U.A.E and other neighboring countries with high expat population, the film in its opening weekend collected 6.70 crores.
In Australia and New Zealand, the film remained dull accumulating a total collection of 50.46 lacs in its 1st weekend.
The performance of the film has been pale for numerous reasons, the formeost being that Akshay’s fan following is limited overseas. Remaining mostly insipid at both domestic and international markets, Boss has chance to swell in both arenas till the release of Hrithik Roshan starrer superhero flick Krrish 3.
