Action films in Hindi Cinema have time and again found their due, irrespective of the flavour of the season. The only difference is that there are ones with big names and then there are some with not so known names. Coming weekend’s release Commando belongs to the latter. The movie stars Vidyut Jamwal in the lead who promises a lot of stunts for the audience. Ex-Miss India Pooja Chopra lends a romantic angle to the story and adds on the glamour quotient. Producer Vipul Shah and debutant director Dilip Ghosh choose Manan Shah to compose the music while Mayur Puri has penned the lyrics for Commando.

Loot Jawaan – Commando Music Review

The album begins with a romantic and passionate sufi track Loot Jawaan. Dhruv Sangari lends his vocals to the track where the music is quite intriguing as it mixes a lot of folk sound that makes it a worth hear. It is a good fusion with a voice to match, hence turning out to be a perfect track that kick-starts the proceedings.

Saawan Bairi – Commando Music Review

Passion continues to flow in the next track with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan making an entry with Saawan Bairi. This one adds to the romantic angle in the action packed movie. The track plays on Rahat’s strong points and gives him an open platform to use his voice. Again, the music is on the same lines as the previous one, however Rahat’s voice adds magic to it. The video actually reminds one of earlier videos of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and the track has the capability to take you back there. Mayur Puri’s lyrics have clean poetry, which depicts the passion and emotion beautifully.

Mungda – Commando Music Review

There is a turn just round the corner as fun and naughtiness arrive with Mungda. As the name suggests, the track belongs to the item number category and the director ropes in Sunidhi Chauhan for the same. The track reuses the famous folk tune from the past and can be a good contender when it comes to climbing the charts and publicizing the movie. Mayur Puri’s lyrics have some fun elements, which are clean fun instead of being vulgar and raunchy.

Lena Dena – Commando Music Review

Dependable and talented Daler Mehendi delivers the last track of the album, titled Lena Dena. As assumed, it is an authentic Punjabi track with very less fusion beats. The track has an attractive flute in the background which adds an attractive touch to the track. It would also remind you of the earlier Daler Mehendi numbers where Punjabiyat didn’t only mean loudness and also carried good substance.

The Last Word – Commando Music Review

Music composer Manan Shah scores in the four tracks though the tracks and showcases his talent. Sadly, Commando might not have been a musical but the songs might just help in bringing this not-so-publicized movie in the forefront.
