After so much of controversial statements, actions and emotions, Kamal Haasan’s elite budget film finally saw the light of day with a multitude of other releases this Friday. Though the fate of others including David stands on shaky grounds, Vishwaroop proved to be the best grosser among new releases this Friday. The Hindi version of the movie made 1.90 Crores on its Day 1 at the domestic box office.
Having released over 1000 Screens a major chunk of the collections came in from the Mumbai circuit. Seems the sympathy wave is now with Mr. Kamal Haasan and despite the movie’s being banned in a few states he still stands a chance to make some moolah at the box office. The movie will want a good jump on Saturday and Sunday to register some decent numbers at the domestic box office.
