When Dangerous Ishhq was released early this year, it was hyped more for the comeback of Karisma Kapoor rather than the core theme of past life regression. Now when Vikram Bhatt is ready with Raaz 3, the film has been pitched in some circles as Bipasha Basu’s comeback affair, something which isn’t pleasing the director much.

“He doesn’t want a similar experience for Raaz 3 which is basically a horror movie centred on black magic. However many out there are hyping it as Bipasha Basu’s comeback affair which is hardly music to Vikram’s ears. He has suffered enough due to wrong promotion of Dangerous Ishhq where audience felt that Karisma’s role didn’t justify a comeback per se”, says an insider.

Moreover he is also puzzled why many want to believe that Raaz 3 is being pitched as Bipasha’s when the actress has already seen two films of her release in the first half of the year (Jodi Breakers, Players).

“See these are some of the unfortunate things that happen to movies at times”, shrugs away Vikram, “Some sections of media like to put across things in certain manner which suits them best which may not always be the best thing for a film. Dangerous Ishhq wasn’t about Karisma Kapoor’s comeback but instead a film I wanted to make about past life regression. Still, somehow it became more about her comeback than anything else.”

He doesn’t want the story to be repeated for Raaz 3.

“Bipasha is a little more prominent in the promo because she is the moving force between all the negative movements taking place in the lives of other characters (Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta). However it would be wrong to say that she is making her ‘comeback’ as the central antagonist. It is a film, not a re-launch pad of anyone.”

Sure Vikram, we get the point.
