The brand new theatrical trailer of Titli is unveiled. Produced by notable filmmaker Dibaker Banerjee, the film will be premiered at ‘UN Certain Regard’ category at Cannes Film Festival, 2014. Debutant director Kanu Behl’s association with Banerjee runs back to a long time as Behl has been writing for the Khosla Ka Ghosla director for a while now.

The film’s trailer is deliberately made disturbingly violent. Drawn mainly from the director’s own personal experience, Behl started writing this story shortly after 2010 flick Love Sex Aur Dhokha. Co-written by Sharat Kataria, the film deals with the existent patriarchal attitude of the country and the violent stance of men against allowing women freedom here. Semi-autobiographical in its vein, the film’s trailer looks promising. Produced by YRF, the film has good chances of winning acclaim and accolades this season.
