The film is based on the Mumbai Metro bridge collapse and stars Irrfan Khan and Jimmy Shergill in lead roles.

Madaari is directed by Nishikant Kamat, who previously helmed Rocky Handsome and Drishyam. The film is set to hit the screens on 10th June, 2016.
