Tanhaji starring Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan and Kajol has been headlining the news ever since its announcement. The makers have been raising the anticipation with the intriguing posters and have finally unveiled the thrilling trailer of the film. It is a battle between the Marathas and the Mughals and seeing Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan battle will give you goosebumps.
The trailer begins with introducing Ajay Devgn’s character Tanhaji and it quickly escalates into a scene of a battlefield. Saif Ali Khan is asked to win over the Maratha and for that, he has to win over Ajay Devgn’s army. The supporting characters add to the drama and Kajol’s presence in the trailer is quite a refreshing treat. Director Om Raut has successfully been able to give the audience a gist of what’s coming next and we think it is huge.
Set in 1670, the makers have very neatly been able to take the audience to that era. Kajol plays Ajay’s wife in the film and is supportive of every decision he makes. Apart from the fine dialogue delivery, the background music and the dance shown in the trailer will also make you excited for the film. Saif’s experimental, villainous tone and swift change between muscle and mind definitely steals the show Kajol looks like a Maratha warrior herself, sacrificing her happiness for her husband’s pride.
The team has done an excellent job with the CGI as we see the era come alive. The trailer is all about pride, rage, power and the characters have successfully been able to portray these emotions on the screen in the trailer. It will be safe to say that Om Raut has hit the right chord with his direction and the film Tanhaji will be something the audience will look forward to.
Set in the 17th century, the Om Raut directorial is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, an unsung warrior of Indian history and the military leader in the army of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire.
Produced by Ajay Devgn’s ADF and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, the film will release on January 10, 2020. The film also boasts a supporting cast of Jagapathi Babu, and Sharad Kelkar in the key roles.
