The Pakistan Censor Board has denied the release of Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s Lahore this week. The film, based on the sport of kick-boxing, opens in India on 19th March.

It is based on a peace initiative between India and Pakistan. In fact, some portions of the film were shot in Lahore in 2009. However, the Pakistan Censor Board has refused to let the film be screened in the country because of the title and a few scenes including one in which a Pakistani girl is shown apologising to an Indian.

Just last week, Sunny Deol starrer Right Yaaa Wrong was released in the neighbouring country simultabeously with India.
