The nation is in shock today over the mob-lynching episode of Palghar, Maharastra. Taking to express her distaste over the episode, veteran actress Member of Parliament Roopa Ganguly who is trending all over news currently from her act of Draupadi in Doordarshan’s Mahabharat, has revealed a similar instance that happened with her back in 2016.

The actress who is a serving Member of the Parliament has taken to her official Twitter handle to share an instance of the time when she was mercilessly dragged from her car and brutally beaten up by the mob. The incident was so horrific, that the actress underwent not one, but two brain hemorrhages!

While the Draupadi’s cheer-haran episode was aired recently and fans were gushing over Ganguly’s acting chops she took to her Twitter handle to share a clip of the episode along with a horrifying recap of the 2016 traumatic event.

Along with the clip, Roopa shared a captioned that translated to, ‘I have been remembering, for the past few days, May 22, 2016’s Diamond Harbour incident. 17 to 18 people, along with the police, had pulled me out of my car and beat me up on the road. They ransacked the far. I had to suffer two brain hemorrhages. Only, I did not die. I am a rally driver, I snuck out of there. Feeling sad about West Bengal and Palghar.’

Well, Roopa Ganguly’s ordeal is certainly is horrific and so is what happened in the Palghar district which has led to the death of 3 people and over 100 suspects being rounded up by the local police in connection to the mob-lynching episode.
