Actor Hina Khan has been successful in blurring the boundaries between television and the big screen. While, Hina has been vocal about the disparity that happens rampantly between the two industries, the actor recently opened on Indian designers looking down upon TV actors and treating them like they don’t deserve their clothes. Now singer Neha Bhasin has supported her statement and penned a long note about the same.

Recently during an interview, Hina spoke about her experience at the Cannes film festival and how it changed things for her. The actor revealed how designers in India, do not wish to give TV actors clothes, as they are doubtful if they can carry them. She also spoke how TV actors are looked down upon as compared the film personalities.

Neha Bhasin On Hina Khan’s Statement On Indian Designers-Cannes Matter: “The World Will Get To See The Classist Reality…”

Backing Hina’s statement is singer Neha Bhasin, who took to Twitter and wrote, “Dearest @eyehinakhan you said it and I am happy that the world will get to hear n see the vain, sad, classist reality of designers and stylists in our country. Btw they say we don’t style singers too. To add to this Stylists have becm quite snobbish too..”

“The bourgeois bulldhit of stylists is based on being able to muscle power runway looks for Bollywood actresses @eyehinakhan and without your will or permission the class system has been shoved down our throats,” Neha added in her next tweet.

Further talking about how the Novel Coronavirus pandemic has come in as a leveller and shown everyone their place, Neha wrote, “Ab saare hi end designers, unko pehne waale, unko pehnaane waale, unki fake pictures kheechne waale sab ghar baithein hain. Unfortunstely this virus has come as a leveller to remind mankind wake up and stop being jerks.. Be kind, we are all one.”

The tweets reached Hina, who in her strong and full of hope reply wrote, “I guess the tides will turn and we shall see the upheaval of fate and fortune together Neha. If we have come this far, maybe what’s ahead will change how our successors are treated. Only true class can beat classism isn’t it!?”
