FRIENDS fans! The makers smartly paid a tribute to the Greek heritage of Jennifer Aniston, and Easter egg of the same has been going viral on the social media. It’s in the memorable episode of The One with Chandler and Monica’s Wedding.
Divided into two parts, this episode will always remain special for the FRIENDS fans for obvious reasons. We remember how the groom goes missing and Matt LeBlanc’s Joey who was supposed to officiate the wedding gets late to reach.
Joey asks Jennifer Aniston’s Rachel to look out for a replacement of the minister. Rachel rushes in the hotel to do the same as she tumbles upon another wedding happening. The families names were Anastassakis and Papasifakis families.
Makers chose Anastassakis because that’s Jennifer Aniston’s father’s surname. Hence, paying a tribute to Jen’s father. The birth name of John Aniston (Jen’s father) is Yiannis Antonios Anastasakis and he was born in Crete, Greece.

In a recent roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Aniston said: “I could not get Rachel Green off of my back for the life of me. I could not escape ‘Rachel from Friends,’ and it’s on all the time and you’re like, ‘Stop playing that f***ing show!’ (Laughter.)”
She also added: “But I remember the panic that set over me, thinking, ‘Oh God, I don’t know if I can do this. Maybe they’re right. Maybe everybody else is seeing something I’m not seeing, which is you are only that girl in the New York apartment with the purple walls.’
