Karthi’s latest film Sardar 2 has been released in theaters today. The film is a sequel to the hit Sardar, released in 2022. The sequel, also directed by PS Mithran, has been promised to be on a grander scale with Karthi playing a dual role. The film also stars SJ Suryah and Malavika Mohanlan. So, is this sequel a hit or a miss?
Interestingly, Sardar 2 is not getting a solo release. It is clashing in theaters with Soori’s Mandaadi. There was no buzz for the sea drama until its trailer dropped a few days before release. The film stunned the audience with its visuals and high-octane emotions. In advance collections, Mandaadi outperformed Sardar 2 in Tamil Nadu.
