The makers of the upcoming Tamil film Mandaadi have released its trailer. The trailer comes a week before its grand theatrical release. It will clash with Karthi’s much-anticipated film Sardar 2. However, the trailer for Mandaadi proves it’s going to pose tough competition to the Karthi-starrer action thriller. Mandaadi promises to be a huge action-sea drama, with emotions running high.

Soori and Mahima Nambiar’s upcoming Tamil film has surely grabbed the audience’s attention. In a day, the trailer has crossed 10 million views, with massive appreciation from audiences. The visuals of the sea-related episodes have taken the audience by surprise. Interestingly, the majority of the sea scenes were shot on location rather than using green screens.

The Mandaadi trailer opens with the vastness of the sea and the dangers it holds. We are intrigued by the people in the coastal city of Chennai and how their lives revolve around the sea. Not just their daily income, but their pride and ego are also navigated in this sea drama. The film focuses on sailing boat competitions at sea. We see that Soori’s character, Muthukaali, has dominated the sport for years. However, he goes away for 20 years, and in the meantime, new champions emerge. However, he returns to coach the locals so they can take control of the sport. On the other side is the leader, Sattai Puli, played by Suhas, creating a clash between the two factions. But the rivalry between the two also impacts their family members.

Soori headlines a film that promises to be visually striking, focusing on the sea’s unpredictability. It will also provide a more realistic portrayal of the lives of people who live by the coast and depend on it for their livelihoods. The film’s background score has been done by GV Prakash Kumar, who is on a success streak with Vishwanath & Sons and Irumudi.

Written and directed by Mathimaran Pugazheni, the film stars Soori, Suhas, Mahima Nambiar, Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindravjay, Bala Saravanan, Stunt Siva & others. Produced by Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner, the film is gearing up for a theatrical release on September 10. The film have a box office clash with Sardar 2.
