Kayadu Lohar is set for an exciting week at the box office. The actress has two films releasing in the upcoming week — I’m Game with Dulquer Salmaan and Immortal with GV Prakash. The makers of the latter have now dropped the trailer of Immortal, and it is quite chilling and engaging.
Kayadu Lohar and GV Prakash’s upcoming film initially appears to be a simple romantic story. But the tone soon changes as mysterious activity unfolds in the apartment they share. At the beginning of the trailer, we see GV Prakash responding to a room-for-rent ad that Kayadu Lohar posted. The two begin on a flirty note and soon live together. GV Prakash realizes that Kayadu is wealthy and decides to settle down with her. However, what he does not know is that there is more to her than just being a wealthy and attractive woman.
It seems that GV Prakash is trapped in the apartment, as most of the scenes revolve around the four walls of the house. He seems confused about a lot of things, which hints at hallucinations. He is seemingly trying to make sense of the incidents in the apartment but cannot fully understand them. Towards the end, we see a strange, monster-like creature run towards GV Prakash as he stands stunned. The next moment, the creature takes him back into the apartment, indicating a hallucination. But it’s interesting to know why he hallucinated such an odd-looking creature.

The trailer of Immortal leaves a lot to be desired and much to the imagination. The film seems to have been made on a small budget, with a possibly good idea at its core. Kayadu Lohar gives us the chills with her mysterious avatar, while GV Prakash’s cluelessness also adds to the tension.

Interestingly, the horror thriller has received a U certificate from the censor board. Immortal also features TM Karthik, Kumar Natarajan, Lollu Sabha Maaran, Aaditya Kathir, Arshu Maharjan, Pema Tsamchoe, and Sunita Shrestha.
Arunkumar Dhanasekaran has produced the film, while Arun Radhakrishnan handles the cinematography and Sam CS composes the music. The film will hit theatres on September 4.
