There were no loud promotions for the latest Tamil film Mandaadi. The sea drama started making noise only after teh release of its trailer a few days ago. The film clashed with Karthi’s Sardar 2 at the box office today. Mandaadi is a sea-based drama focusing on a boating race and the lives of opelpel living by the coast. The film promises never-before-seen visuals and is high on emotions.
In advance collections, Mandaadi outperformed Sadar 2 in their home state of Tamil Nadu. However, Sardar 2 was miles ahead of the Soori-starrer in the Telugu states. Therefore, Sardar 2 was pacing ahead in overall India collection for advance bookings compared to Mandaadi.
