The coronavirus pandemic has created a ruckus in almost every field of work and WWE is no exception. Due to such crisis, the company has faced a huge loss and also stars like Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn and now, Kevin Owens has taken a backseat and decided to not to return until and unless the situation gets normal.
As we all know, Roman Reigns backed out from Wrestlemania 36’s match against Goldberg due to the health concerns amid the pandemic. Further, Sami Zayn and two weeks ago, even Kevin Owens is missing out on the action. While their concern is understandable, it is learnt that WWE isn’t very happy with the stars’ decision.
Yes, you read that right! WWE isn’t pleased as their stars aren’t turning out for the tapings. Considering it, the company is said to take strict action against them.
Speaking about the same, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio said, “With Kevin Owens it’s only been a couple of weeks… so I guess it’s not. But with Sami Zayn it probably will be. If it’s Roman Reigns, they may not want to p*** him off, and he isn’t going anywhere anyway. He is one guy who is not going to go anywhere. But with some guys absolutely they will freeze them (their contracts).”
Let’s wait and see, if WWE has some strong message to proclaim for those who are on a long break.
For the unversed, WWE stripped off Sami Zayn from his Intercontinental Championship after he decided not to turn up for the tapings.
