Director R. Balki, who has always worked with Amitabh Bachchan in Hindi Films, right from Cheeni Kum to Paa is now scripting his next film with the Senior Bachchan in mind yet again. Big B who has been a permanent fixture in all of Balki’s film, so much so that when his wife Gauri Shinde ventured into film making last year with Sridevi starrer English Vinglish, Bachchan had an endearing cameo role in the film.
Balki who has kept the plot of the film and the genre of the film in careful wraps, is hoping on casting Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan together again with this film. A leading magazine reported that Bachchan is already aware of the film’s script. Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan both considered legendary in their own right, had worked together in films like Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Paheli and Bhoothnath.
With a high superstar value, the film is still in talks and its script still getting concretized. But if and when the film is finally formulated, it will have the audiences’ attention gripped on it given their turbulent history of reported ego clashes between the stars. Besides that, it is always great news when two living legends of the film industry come together in a film.
