As Christopher Nolan’s latest sci-fi action feature Tenet is gearing up for release, a brand new video of Hayley Atwell, who helpfully explains the meaning behind the upcoming films’ title. Reportedly, Tenet is the highly-anticipated mystery project that even some of its stars have been unable to definitively say anything about it.
Nolan’s film Tenet is centred in the world of international espionage and it focuses on the prevention of a devastating World War 3-level event. The highly-anticipated mystery project has been filmed across seven countries and it is slated to first open in 70 countries including Germany, Italy, Australia, Canada, France, Russia, Spain, Japan, Korea, and the U.K on August 26. While some territories including China are yet to receive a release date, select US cities will see the film open on September 3.
As audiences across the world await the release of the actual film, they have a new mystery to puzzle over. Atwell, in this video, narrates the origins of the word “tenet,” and further explored the mystery behind it. Even though she is not part of the film, she has worked in several spy-based roles like Peggy Carter for the MCU and her forthcoming role in Mission Impossible 7 and 8.
