No one will ever forget that shocking end credits scene of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. After all, Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio revealed his identity as Peter Parker. Not only that, but Quentin Beck also blamed Parker for the attacks in London. This video was played on the news on TV headlined by none other than J. Jonah Jameson, played by JK Simmons.
That moment of seeing Simmons on the big screen in MCU’s Spider-Man movie was a big thing for all the fans. The ace actor had earlier played the same character in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy that starred Tobey Maguire. Now, the Defending Jacob actor mentioned that he is a part of MCU and future movies starring Tom Holland.
In an interview with SiriusXM, JK Simmons said that he is back in Holland’s Spider-Man movies as the editor of Daily Bugle. When asked if there’s more of J. Jonah Jameson in MCU, Simmons said, “Yeah, that’s the short answer. There is a future for J. Jonah Jameson after a several year hiatus. Obviously, I showed up very briefly for those who are wise enough to stay through the end credits of Far From Home, there was a brief JJJ appearance there.”
