Princess Diana’s Netflix Documentary Likely To ‘Open New Wounds’ For Prince William & Prince Harry

Princess Diana was a celebrated figure during her life and despite years of her unfortunate demise, she remains to be one of the most intriguing personalities. Over the years there have been several documentaries, memories and books written about the life of the late princess.
Now, it has been reported that streaming giant Netflix is soon coming up with a 4 part series on the life of Princess Diana. It is also being stated that DSP, the TV company behind this series has already begun preparation for the series that will be titled, “Being Me: Diana.”
Furthermore, if the industry reports are anything to go by, it is being stated that the series will show unseen footage from Princess Diana’s speeches in 1990-92 and her interviews with close confidants.
Meanwhile, Royal author Leslie Carroll has revealed to the Express.co.uk that the documentary is likely to open a lot of fresh wounds for Princess Diana’s sons, Prince Harry and Prince William.
Speaking to the portal about “Being Me: Diana”, Leslie Carroll revealed, “It might provide closure, or it might-open new wounds for the sons. It all depends on who is going to speak to the camera and what they might reveal. Most people who are royal watchers already know that what really broke Diana’s heart was her husband’s marital infidelity: his relationship with Camilla, which began years before he met Diana and never ended; and which drove her into the arms of other men.”
The royal author further suggested that the series might shed light on Princess Diana’s 4 suicide attempts and her eating disorders among other things. Opening up about how Princess Diana and Prince Charles’s broken relationship affected Prince William and Prince Harry, she said, “For part of their young lives the siblings were raised shuttled between two households, hearing their parents argue, and undoubtedly expected to take sides. It doesn’t matter that they were princes; that’s not an emotionally healthy situation for any child.”
Meanwhile, it is being reported that the series will be a big blow to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the Sussexes have allegedly been in talks with Netflix for a few projects. A certain source close to the “Being Me: Diana” series has revealed, “The royals will refuse to take part as will the Spencer family. William and Harry will be very upset and angry. It’s particularly distressing for Harry because he’s been working with Netflix. At a time when the royals have been dealt a blow with Harry and Meghan leaving, the timing is not good.”
