Ellen DeGeneres is probably going through the worst phase of her career. It all began with some employees accused her of non-payment of dues. A pay-cut was also being implied for workers amid the lockdown. Eventually, many came forward and accused the makers of ‘toxic work environment.’
As many as 11 employees (including current and former) shared their ill experiences. The US host even recently conducted a Zoom call with all of them and reportedly broke down. Just not employees, previously we have even seen some guests sharing their awkward experiences.
Nikkie de Jager has previously revealed how she wasn’t allowed to use the toilet as it was reserved for the Jonas Brothers. Kevin T. Porter, too, called Ellen DeGeneres ‘one of the meanest people alive.’ Now, Mariah Carey who appeared on The Ellen Show in 2008 opened up on her uncomfortable row.
Mariah Carey was actually pregnant during that time. The Gossip mill already had her under the radar. But what Ellen DeGeneres did was indeed mean. She asked the Obsessed singer if she was expecting. Carey tried to dodge the question but what happened next was the worst.
Ellen tried to make her prove the same by drinking a glass of champagne. It was quite evident that the singer was not ready to make the revelation, but she had no choice as Ellen kept shouting “You are pregnant.”
Mariah Carey has now revealed that she was indeed pregnant, but miscarried just before The Ellen DeGeneres show. In an interview with Vulture, she revealed, “I was extremely uncomfortable with that moment is all I can say. And I really have had a hard time grappling with the aftermath.”
She continued, “I wasn’t ready to tell anyone because I had had a miscarriage. I don’t want to throw anyone that’s already being thrown under any proverbial bus, but I didn’t enjoy that moment. But what am I supposed to do? It’s like, ‘What are you going to do?’”
