On Tuesday, continued another hearing of Johnny Depp’s legal suit against The Sun. In one of their articles years ago, the publication called him a ‘wife-beater’. They used this term after Amber Heard accused him of physical violence. JD is suing News Group Newspapers and editor Dan Wootton for the same.
Johnny had accused his ex-wife of stubbing a cigarette on his face. For the same, London’s Royal Courts questioned his bodyguard Malcolm Connolly. Connolly has worked with JD for 16 years. As reported by Variety, the bodyguard gave his testimony for what happened in 2015 March in Australia. They were shooting for the film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales at that time. Even Amber Heard had joined them in Australia.
Malcolm Connolly told the court at that time, he got an urgent call from the late Jerry Judge. He was the head of Johnny Depp’s security team. Jerry told Malcolm on the call, “Malcolm, get in the car, extract the boss from the situation.” Connolly immediately arrived at the rented house where the then couple was staying. He told the court about the ‘ruckus’ that was going on. Johnny and Amber were screaming at each other.
