Joe Manganiello Shares Important Details On Ben Affleck's The Batman & Justice League
Joe Manganiello On Ben Affleck’s Batman & Justice League

Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello says that Justice League was going to be about Injustice League. We all know that the blueprint of the film went through many changes, that too in different degrees. The biggest change came when Zack Snyder had to leave the movie in between due to a family tragedy and Joss Whedon came on board to do ‘justice’ to the film.

Joe Manganiello, in a recent interview, revealed his experience of working on Justice League’s post-credits scene which hinted at the arrival of Injustice League featuring a meeting between Deathstroke and Lex Luther.

Joe Manganiello also said that the idea was soon going to materialize on the big screen sooner. He told Yahoo, “They reshot all of Jesse’s dialogue to tease Justice League Part 2, which was going to be about the Injustice League. All of that dialogue was about Batman originally, and it was changed to lines like ‘Shouldn’t we have a league of our own?’”

It wasn’t Zack Snyder’s idea to introduce the Injustice League in Justice League 2. In its follow up, Justice League was going to be a lead up to the introduction of Darkseid. This is the reason, the movie’s post-credits scene was expected to be about the Batman standalone rather than Justice League 2 in the original narrative.

Joe Manganiello also shared the story details of Ben Affleck’s The Batman and Deathstroke’s role in the film. The actor said, “It was a really dark story in which Deathstroke was like a shark or a horror movie villain that was dismantling Bruce’s life from the inside out. It was this systemic thing: He killed everyone close to Bruce and destroyed his life to try and make him suffer because he felt that Bruce was responsible for something that happened to him.”
