Glee actress Naya Rivera went missing from Lake Piru on the 8th of July after renting a Pontoon boat with her four years old son Josey. Around three hours later, the boy was found alone on the boat, sleeping and unharmed. Josey told the police that his mother went swimming and never returned afterward.
After 5 days of mind-numbing search, the actress’ body was recovered from the lake on Monday. As per Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub, “Based on the location where the body was found, physical characteristics of the body, clothing found of the body and the physical condition of the body, as well as the absence of any other persons reported in the area, we are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera.”
There was no life jacket found on her body and it seemed that she drowned in the Lake accidentally. The autopsy report of Naya Rivera has come and the officials have announced the cause of her death. In a statement posted on Twitter by Ventura County Medical Examiner has mentioned that the cause of her death is accidental drowning.
