Winona Ryder recently revealed that Francis Ford Coppola asked her co-stars including Keanu Reeves to abuse her, in order to make her crying look genuine in one of the scenes from 1992’s Dracula.

But, it seems that there was more to the story, and legendary director Francis Ford Coppola has finally reacted to it. He has something else to say which doesn’t match up with the anecdote shared by Winona Ryder.

Winona was quoted in The Sunday Times, saying “To put it in context I’m supposed to be crying. Literally, Richard E Grant, Anthony Hopkins, Keanu … Francis was trying to get all of them to yell things that would make me cry. But Keanu wouldn’t, Anthony wouldn’t … It just didn’t work. I was, like, really? It kind of did the opposite.”
