Last year Avengers: Endgame released at the end of April and broke almost all the records at the box office awaiting a lifetime record of James Cameron’s Avatar. But not for long, when the producers decided to release the uncut version of the film, it then shattered all the box-office records to become all-time highest grosser.
Amid the lockdown, every film’s shooting has been stalled across the world including Hollywood and Bollywood. Owing to the same, the economy of several countries has been considerably affected. Now, in a wake of cinema business’ loss, Joe Russo revealed that he would be more than happy to re-release Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame to help raise the movie business all around the world.
Talking to Cinemablend, Russo said, “For us, that’s really the strength of the theatrical experience is that it combines audiences, and it combines you globally. To have been a part of movies that did that, on that scale with that level of emotional connection from the audience, was really very touching, and will be the highlight of our careers. So, using those films to get people back into the theaters? We would be ecstatic. I mean, any opportunity for people to go back and share in those stories together is one that we would support.”
Not just that, after hundreds of cinema halls and theatres re-opened in China, they announced to run movies like Inception, Infinity War and Endgame, Avatar, and Interstellar to raise their respective businesses. We hope we follow the same pattern to help the suffering sector!
