Jason Momoa set millions of hearts racing along with the box office cash registers with his outing in Aquaman. Now the actor is back in action with Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming venture, the Dune adaptation.

For those who have joined in late, the much-anticipated Dune is an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 classic novel by the same name. Momoa, who plays the role of the swordmaster Duncan Idaho in the film says that he feels his character has several traits similar to that of Han Solo from the Star Wars franchise.

Opening up to Ellen DeGeneres during his recent virtual chat with her, Jason revealed that he had never thought he’d be sharing screen space with names like Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard and Javier Bardem. The macho was quoted by PTI saying, “I’ve never been part of something so big… I get to play this character Duncan Idaho, who’s kind of a master swordsman who’s made the right-hand man to Duke Leto, who is Oscar Isaac. He’s the first person to be sent out to land on Dune, and that’s when I meet the character that Javier Bardem plays.”
