WHAT! Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt’s Divorce Judge Is The Same Person Who Got Them Married!

Angelina Jolie is back in the news. And the reason yet again is her relationship with Brad Pitt. The couple is currently finalizing their divorce as few of the documentation were pending. It was earlier planned around March, but the coronavirus pandemic delayed it all. Recently, the Maleficent actress demanded the removal of the judge but now, a new update has surfaced.
For the unversed, Angelina and Brad have hired a private judge to finalise their divorce matters. This was done to ensure all details remain behind the curtains. Recently, the actress claimed that Judge John W. Ouderkirk had repeated customer relationship with Brad’s counsel. Owing to the same, she requested his removal from the matter.
Now, Brad Pitt’s legal team have hit back Angelina Jolie. They claim that the actress is using this tactic to just delay the matter further. The actor’s legal team also mentioned that the only losers, in this case, are their 6 children who’re “the individuals hurt most by Jolie’s transparently tactical gambit.”
According to Page Six, Brad Pitt’s legal team said, the act is a “thinly veiled attempt by Angelina Jolie to delay the adjudication of long-pending custody issues in this case.” They also said that Angelina’s motion should be denied as their children “continue to be deprived over a resolution to these custody issues.”
But an interesting part revealed here is that Judge John W. Ouderkirk is the same one who married them in 2014. “Judge Ouderkirk has had a well-documented history with the parties to this proceeding their counsel, including, without limitation, being hand-selected by Jolie to preside over the couple’s nuptials in 2014 and serving as a neutral in several matters involving attorneys on both sides of this case. Judge Ouderkirk has also accepted additional new engagements involving opposing counsel during the pendency of this action — a fact fully disclosed to Jolie, and still, she has never objected to his continued involvement in this proceeding until now. On the contrary, Jolie has stipulated three times to extend Judge Ouderkirk’s appointment,” claimed Brad Pitt legal team.
Angelina Jolie and Brad declared their divorce in 2019. However, several unknown matters are yet to resolve.
