Brad Pitt met FRIENDS actress Jennifer Aniston in 1998, and the two exchanged vows in a private wedding ceremony on July 29, 2000. But in January 2005, Pitt and Aniston announced they had decided to separate. A while before this, rumours of an affair between Brad Pitt and his Mr and Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie started churning.
Things started heating between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie when they starred as assassins/lovers in the 2005 film, Mr and Mrs Smith. When these sparks flew, Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston and hence both, he and Angelina, denied all rumours related to it.

The duo insisted things only got physical after Brad left Jen in January 2005. Angelina told Vogue in a 2006 interview, “It took until, really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realize that it might mean something more than we’d earlier allowed ourselves to believe.”
In that interview, she continued, “We spent a lot of time contemplating and thinking and talking about what we both wanted in life and realized that we wanted very, very similar things. She added, “We remained very, very good friends – with this realization – for a long time. And then life developed in a way where we could be together, where it felt like something we would do, we should do.”
However, Angelina’s former bodyguard, Mark Behar, has a different story to tell. He claimed he regularly caught the pair ‘making out’ in their trailers. He also added that there was an ‘underground network of aides’ on set who helped pass notes – that were ‘s*xual in content’ – between the two stars.
He told US Weekly, “[Angelina] and Brad were constantly laughing and flirting with each other and acting like two school kids who had the hots for each other, and it was so cute. I caught them several times in each other’s trailers making out. I wasn’t shocked at all when they got married years later.”
And other on-set sources claimed Angelina allegedly removed her flesh-coloured underwear during one love scene. The source told US Weekly, “In the end, she shunned the suit and climbed in bed with him n*ked! It’s the biggest thing we all remember from that film.”
Mr Herzog, who joined Brad’s team following his divorce, reckons Brad and Jen were ‘100 percent happy’ and living a life of happily wedded bliss before he signed up for Mr and Mrs Smith. He told Australia’s Yahoo! Lifestyle in 2016, “I never heard of them fighting. I never heard rumours of cheating. I never heard anything bad between Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt before he met Angelina Jolie.”
