Amber Heard Blamed Johnny Depp’s Drug Abuse For Domestic Violence, Demanded A Mental Health Evaluation!

Soon after Amber Heard’s allegations of domestic violence and physical abuse, Johnny Depp opted for the legal route. The actor had a huge impact on his career following the allegations. In fact, he was thrown out of his most famous work – Pirates Of The Caribbean. But do you know of the time when Heard asked for Johnny’s mental health evaluation?
It was late last year. According to some documents obtained by The Blast, the Justice League actress alleged that Johnny Depp’s substance abuse could be a major contributor towards his domestic violence actions.
“Mental conditions in combination with his rampant use of alcohol and drugs were inextricably intertwined with the abuse she suffered at his hands. Johnny’s relationship with reality oscillates, depending upon his interaction with alcohol and drugs. As Johnny’s paranoia, delusions and aggression increased throughout our relationship so has my awareness of his continued substance abuse,” read Amber Heard’s legal filings.
She demanded that a mental health professional conduct as “Independent Mental Evaluation” or IME on her ex-husband. However, Johnny Depp’s lawyer countered it saying it was an intrusion of privacy.
“This is a defamation case in which Mr. Depp does not allege that he suffers from any mental disorder or condition. Thus, Mr. Depp’s mental condition is not “in controversy” nor does good cause exist under the rule for an IME of Mr. Depp,” argued Fantastic Beasts actor’s lawyer.
The argument further read, “By Ms. Heard’s tortured credibility logic, current IME’s would also be warranted for all the dozens of eyewitnesses who have attested to the various facets of the hoaxes they witnessed years ago.”
