Robert Pattinson is super excited to restart shooting Matt Reeves’ The Batman. He will be playing the rich vigilante after actors like Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck.
On Saturday, the Twilight actor made an appearance at the online DC Comics FanDome event. While there, he said he was ready to don the suit to become the Caped Crusader for the filmmaker.
Robert Pattinson said, “As many of you probably already know, we were in the beginning stages of production when COVID hit, so now I’m very anxious to get back to work and continue to form this beloved character. I’ve always been a massive fan.”
The English actor introduced the movie’s director before a trailer was displayed for the film. The Batman star said, “I’m not really allowed to share anything, so I’m going to hand it over to the great Matt Reeves who’s somewhere around here. He can determine what can and can’t be talked about.”
Towards the end of the event, fans were treated to the teaser of The Batman. The two minutes long teaser also featured the looks at Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman/Selina Kyle and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon. Besides Robert Pattinson, Zoë and Jeffrey, the film also stars Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone.
Robert Pattinson starrer The Batman was originally slated to release in theatres next June but has been delayed owing to the coronavirus pandemic. The movie is now scheduled to release on October 1, 2021.
