It is not a happy time for the ‘Thinkin Bout You’ singer Frank Ocean. Reportedly his younger brother, Ryan Breaux passed away in a fiery car accident. This accident is said to have happened during the early hours on Sunday morning in California.
According to a report on ABC News, two people died in a single-car collision in Thousand Oaks, California, around 1:30 am. Police have yet to confirm their identities. Although neither the news network nor authorities have named the people who died, influencer B Scott reported that the victims were Ocean’s 18-year-old brother, Breaux, and Breaux’s friend, Zeek.
Police are also still investigating the cause of the crash. It is assumed that the car apparently ran off the road and tree in the median. ABC reported: “The initial investigation revealed the vehicle was travelling south on Westlake Boulevard when the car appeared to leave the roadway and collide with a tree in the center median.”
The report also stated that the intensity of the crash ripped the car in half. The Ventura County sheriff’s deputies found the vehicle engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene the report further said. The Ventura County Fire Department pronounced both people inside the car died at the scene.
Ventura County sheriff’s Deputy Wendell Campbell has speculated that speed might be involved in the crash. Campbell told KTLA that the location where the accident occurred is ‘a nice big stretch of road, so sometimes people do pick up speed.’
Breaux’s last tweet was posted on August 1. His last Instagram photo was a shot of him inside a car, that he shared on July 24. Friends of Ryan Breaux are posting condolence and miss you messages to his last Instagram post as well as tweet.
