Join UsDecember began on quite a fashionable note as several Bollywood stars descended on the red carpet of Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards 2019. It was a starry event as Bollywood’s who’s who stepped in their fashion best for the gala event. Stars including Malaika Arora, Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday, Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, Varun Dhawan, Rajkummar Rao, Karan Johar attended the event. While many stole our hearts with their lustrous outfits, it was Anushka Sharma and Kartik Aaryan, who took away the limelight.
Just like every other year, the stars made quite a few bold choices and went for the vogue fashion styles. We are talking about ruffles, sequences, plunging necklines, metallics and what not! Bollywood’s most handsome kept it classic as usual and smouldered us with their killer looks. The ladies kept it suave and chic. The B-Towners made it a glam entry, however, some failed to impress the fashion fanatics. Here are our favourite — and not-so-favourite — picks of the night:
Best Dressed:
Anushka Sharma:
Anushka opted for a golden silk high slit dress by Marmar Halim and paired her look with a classy pair of metallic heels. She went very basic with her makeup as she chose nude colours for her eyeshadows and lips.
Yami Gautam:
The Bala actress raised the temperatures in a black dress with a plunging neckline by Rahul&Rohit’s collection. The diva was looking hot she styled her body fit, embroidered dress with a pair of black heels. Yami opted for a nude makeup look.
Alia Bhatt:
Alia walked in wearing a pink&black dress by Celia Kritharioti. She opted for a rosy base and went on to compliment her dress with a pink shade of lipstick. She let her tassel lose in soft curls.
Kartik Aaryan:
Next on the list has to be our boy next door. Kartik Aaryan made a dashing entry in a tuxedo and we are sure it will leave you drooling all over. Kartik Aaryan bagged the Filmfare HotStepper of the Year Award in a Brunello Cucinelli suit.
Rajkummar Rao:
Rajkummar stunned everyone in a classic tuxedo. He went for the black and white look for the award function and was looking absolutely stunning at the red carpet.
Saif Ali Khan:
Daddy cool stepped out in a blue suit that he paired with a blue polka dot tie. Saif Ali Khan looked absolutely royal in his red carpet look.

Worst Dressed:
Malaika Arora:
While Malaika Arora is one of the most fashionable stars in the industry, her Atelier Zuhra dress didn’t quite impress us. While her makeup was on point, Malaika’s dress felt like she went a little overboard.
Rakul Preet Singh:
Rakul Preet Singh has also stunned us with her fashion choices but this time she failed to make a mark as her peach dress did not fit right for the event.
Kiara Advani:
Kiara Advani’s yellow, starry dress did not impress us either. Kiara has opted for better red carpet looks and this one did not match her mark.
Ayushmann Khurrana:
Well, we were pretty disappointed by what Ayushmann Khurrana wore. He has made some very classy entries at the red carpet but this time he failed to impress us.
Varun Dhawan:
While many made it a point that their outfits are outright fancy, Varun Dhawan’s casual appearance did not impress us. He wore a shirt with a pair of white jeans and we think he could have done better.
Ananya Panday:
Pati Patni Aur Woh actress Ananya Pandey seemed to be twinning with Alia Bhatt unintentionally but did not make an impression as good as hers. Her dress was definitely missing the oomph factor.
