Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya saw further growth in collections on Sunday as the footfalls went up all over again. On Friday, the film brought in 2.70 crore, with an added push coming due to Cinema Lovers Day.

However, with Sunday collections turning out to be greater than that, it’s a good sign indeed. The box office results came to 3.20 crore, and though that’s just a marginal increase over Saturday numbers, if one looks at these as an absolute number, then it’s notable indeed since the film is also in its third week running with competition around it.

The total of this Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer sci-fi romcom has now reached 78.83 crore, and that’s actually a good enough score considering the budget and the genre.

There have been a few 100 Crore Club films as well in the rom-com space, but the budgets have been almost double that of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Here, a substantial moolah has come from selling non-theatrical rights [OTT, satellite, music etc.], which means the collections that have come from theatres in not just India but also overseas is indeed notable.

The film has now crossed the lifetime collections of Kartik Aaryan & Kiara Advani’s SatyaPrem Kii Katha, which was released last year. That film had netted 77.55 crore in its lifetime, and with this number being crossed already, the only major frontier left to be crossed is Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which had netted 88 crore. That would now be crossed as well, and it would make for an interesting chase indeed.

Note: Box office numbers are based on estimates and various sources. Numbers have not been independently verified by Koimoi.
