Talvar starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Neeraj Kabi and Irrfan Khan in key roles received excellent reviews from the critics. The film is being lauded for its performances and brilliant storyline. Considering it is not a typical commercial drama, yet the film took a surprisingly good start.
The film collected 50 lacs from its paid previews on Thursday. On its opening day, Talvar collected 2.50 crores, thus taking its total to 3 crores at the domestic box office.

In spite of having a limited release in not more than 600 screens, the film is expected to grow on positive word of mouth. Due to stiff competition from Singh Is Bliing, Talvar will have a difficult opening weekend.
