Rampage Box Office: The movie starring Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy and a team full of talented stars has ended its first week at the Indian box office on a positive note. Dwayne Johnson’s last movie Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle did very good and has expanded his fan base in India on a major level.
The movie now stands at the grand total of 20 crores after the completion of week 1. The movie earned 2.65 crores on its opening day and since then maintained a stable trend. The makers planned to release this movie on April 20 but pushed the release a week earlier due to the storm of Avengers: Infinity War coming next week.
Based on the classic 1980s video game of the same title, the film is about a gorilla (Jason Liles), a crocodile and a wolf that terrorise a city. Johnson, who plays primatologist Davis Okoye, is the only one who can stop them.
Peyton has helmed movies like Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and San Andreas, both of which featured Johnson. Rampage is also with the same actor.
“I love spectacle and huge, emotional action stories, and working with the biggest movie star in the world: Dwayne Johnson,” Peyton said in a statement.
Helmed by Brad Peyton, the film also features Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. P.J. Byrne, Marley Shelton, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald and Jason Liles.
