John Abraham played the gamble, crossed every hurdle, cleared every controversy and now has emerged victorious in bringing a gem like Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran infront of the world. Raving reviews, strong word of mouth were already in the favour of the film but Monday held the key like every other movie.
The movie has passed the acid test with flying colours and has started the weekdays with a stronghold. It completed its weekend collecting 20.78 crores and what it required was a good hold on Monday. As per the early trends flowing in, it has achieved what it aimed and now the focus is on the remaining weekdays.
If we go by the early estimates the movie has earned in the range of 3-4 crores on its 1st Monday. This means a minimal drop from its first-day figures which shows how well the movie has trended so far at the box office. John Abraham apart from acting so well in the film has also backed the film. Boman Irani, Diana Penty and the entire team of the film have played their parts superbly.
Parmanu is a true-life human story of the kind of intensity not seen often. It salutes the efforts of the Indian Army, scientists, bureaucrats, intelligence agencies and others who worked so tirelessly against all odds to ensure that India finds its due place in the World Nuclear Map. What we hope that the audience takes home is not just the experience of a pacy and edgy plotline but also a sense of pride for our country and its twin pillars of strength- Jai Jawan Jai Vigyan!
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, Parmanu – The Story of Pokhran stars John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani and is produced by JA Entertainment, Zee Studios and Kyta Productions. Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment is its All India Distributor.
