However, Shuddh Desi Romance fared well overseas with the film’s total global collections resting at USD 2 million so far. Being a breezy take on contemporary romance, the film portrayed a rare scenario of relationship crises faced by modern day youth. There are insecurities regarding marriage, simply because it is still branded as the more stable form of relationship in our culture.
