OUATIMD could not evoke any magic at the international market partly because of SRK’s humongous fan following abroad which made Chennai Express such a rage, and the rest because OUATIMD‘s concept is more novel in the Indian context, than globally.

The film began with low figures in key overseas circuits. Despite releasing in over 45 screens, the film made only 1.04 crores in U.K and Ireland.

In U.S.A and Canada too the film met with same fate as it made a bare income of 1.73 crores.

In Australia too, the film did not fare well as it made around 40 lakhs approx whereas in New Zealand, the film made 9.40 lakhs. While, in Fiji, the film made 5.19 lakhs.

However, it saw a better performance in U.A.E-G.C.C circuit. With parts of the film shot across Oman, the film’s premise was something of greater appeal to expats settled in the G.C.C. The film made a decent 3.03 crores in its opening weekend at the Box Office.

OUATIMD might have been dulled by Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express but the film might still hope to pick up in its second week, once the SRK fever begins to fizz out. The negative word of the mouth and unfavorable response from critics hasn’t helped the film either, which is another reason why it hasn’t kept up the expectations people had from the film.
