Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl  has netted a fair figure of Rs. 4.75 crore on the opening day (December 9) at the box-office in India. The collection for the Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma starrer is quite right in multiplexes but generally below the mark in single cinemas. Reports from cities are good but smaller centers generally not up to the mark. Youngsters are liking the film but the older generation is generally finding it average.

More and more big-banner films are today able to recover around 60-70% of the investment made in them, sometimes even more than that, from non-theatrical sources. This week’s release, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, which would end up earning around Rs. 17-18 crore from sale/exploitation of satellite, audio and video rights. Given its total cost (of production, promotion and release) of Rs. 25 crore, the recoveries from non-theatrical sources is truly huge.Hence, the film will end up as a plus fare in spite of the fact that it will not have a long run at the cinemas.
