Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, has turned out to be a big failure both in India and overseas. Released amid low buzz, the film kicked off its run on a slow note and thereafter failed to gain momentum. As a result, in the first weekend itself, it sealed the fate. The Bollywood crime thriller grossed just 65 lakh in India on its first Wednesday, while internationally, it grossed 10 lakh. Overall, it grossed just 75 lakh on its day 6, a drop of 23.47% from day 5’s 14.23 crore. In total, the film has grossed 10.98 crore in India and 3.25 crore overseas. Combining both, the 6-day worldwide box office collection stands at 14.23 crore gross.

Haiwaan to conclude its run soon
Mounted on a high budget, Haiwaan is heading for a total of around 15 crore or less worldwide in the first week. With such a poor performance in the opening week, it’ll hardly retain shows. Internationally, it’ll wrap up today, while in India, it might just hang in there for the sake of it in its second week. With some new films releasing tomorrow, the crime thriller will see an extremely low show count in its second week. On the whole, the picture looks very brutal, and it is heading for a lifetime collection of less than 18 crore gross, which will be a shocker for the duo of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan.
