Haider managed to pull off a decent second weekend. The film collected 1.85 crores on Friday, 2.2 crores on Saturday and showing a good jump on Sunday, the film collected approximately 4 crores. With this, the film now stands with a total collection of 50.07 crores at the domestic box office.

The film starring Shahid Kapoor in a lead role was met with immense critical appreciation and also a good positive word of mouth. Even though the film could not gather much moolah at the single screens, considering it was aimed at a niche audience, the film fared well at multiplexes and mainly in the urban circuits. Considering that the new releases did not perform up to the mark, Haider retained its screens and thus had a good second weekend.
