Today, Rohit Shetty and others associated with the film took to social media to announce that the fifth installment is releasing in theaters on January 8, 2027. Its potential is said to be 300 crore net in India, which could give Rohit his first triple century at the Indian box office.
After Housefull, Golmaal is the second Bollywood franchise to get a fifth installment, so naturally, comparisons between the two have already started flooding in. In terms of cumulative net collections, Golmaal 5 can help the franchise topple Housefull, but the task is a big one.

The Housefull franchise stands close to 700 crore net
Housefull started its run by scoring 74.4 crore net at the Indian box office. It was followed by Housefull 2’s 106 crore net. Housefull 3 scored by 109.14 crore net. Housefull 4 is the only 200 crore net grosser in the franchise, earning 206 crore net. Even though Housefull 5 underperformed, it still amassed 198.41 crore net. Overall, the franchise has scored a solid 693.95 crore net so far.
