F1, starring Brad Pitt, continues to hold strong at the box office in North America and is set to hit a major milestone. The film is earning record numbers in Pitt’s career as a leading man, but remains under his World War Z. As a racing film, it is also performing strongly despite not being part of any racing film franchise. Keep scrolling for deets.

According to reports, the sports drama was made on a reported budget between $200 million and $300 million. To be called a box office success, it must earn between $500 million and $750 million. It will be tough for it as Superman and The Fantastic Four: First Steps will also be released this month. The film’s performance will dip further even if it has a different target audience.

Set to cross $100 million milestone in North America

According to Box Office Mojo‘s data, F1 collected a strong $6.9 million on its second Friday, which was also the 4th of July, aka Independence Day in North America. The film is projected to earn $25-$30 million on its second three-day weekend, and with that, it will hit the said milestone. It will be the 10th movie of this year to cross this major milestone in North America.

Surpassed Snow White as the 10th highest-grossing movie domestically

For the uninitiated, the Disney live-action movie Snow White was the 10th highest-grossing film of the year domestically. F1 has beaten the $87.2 million domestic haul of Snow White as the 10th highest-grossing 2025 release in North America. Brad Pitt achieved this feat in just eight days, whereas the Disney fantasy collected it in 77 days. The racing film will climb up the chart in the following weeks.
